TORONTO, Mar. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ – DiligenceEngine, the provider of contract review and analysis software, has changed its name to Kira and announced its expansion beyond due diligence applications. The company will be imminently launching two new solutions: Kira Real Estate, which helps quickly produce lease summaries, and Kira Contract Analysis, which helps summarize and analyze contract provisions for a variety of purposes such as contract management system implementation.
The new offerings will complement the existing Kira Diligence Engine, which makes M&A due diligence contract review faster and more accurate. The software has been used on over $70 billion in transactions to date.
The company also announced Quick Study, a tool that gives Kira’s customers the ability to teach Kira’s software to identify and extract any contract provision they wish. Quick Study uses Kira’s machine learning artificial intelligence to automatically learn to find new contract provisions. Since it debuted in beta last year, Kira’s customers have already trained close to 1000 provisions with the tool.
“After we launched Quick Study, our customers began using our software in a variety of ways beyond due diligence,” said Noah Waisberg, CEO. “Our new name, Kira, which means ‘ray of light,’ is a great fit for what we now do. We help people see and understand what’s in their contracts.”
Waisberg, together with CuroLegal Chief Strategy Officer Nicole Bradick, will speak Sunday at SXSW Interactive Festival 2015, the well-known gathering of leaders in cutting-edge technologies and digital creativity. Their session titled “Will Your Next Lawyer Be a Machine?” was chosen by conference organizers via a highly selective process.
To make space for its expanding team, Kira recently moved into a new office in Toronto’s Downtown West.
