As the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to impact the world at large, it magnifies the need to support our closest communities. At Kira Systems, the legal, professional services and corporate customer communities that we work with every day are dealing with profound changes and challenges.

Termination and breach clauses are now top of mind, as a significant portion of the world’s businesses need to determine what contracts may be terminated to reduce spend. This issue alone is creating significant workload increases for legal teams and additional pressure to find efficient, scalable ways to work through them.

COVID-19 has accelerated and deepened the impact of the ensuing recession in ways that we have never seen before. But as we enter into economic recovery, our customers will be called upon to advise and execute a wide range of initiatives for their clients and internal stakeholders such as restructuring, divestitures, bankruptcies as well as opportune mergers and acquisitions as corporations react and adapt to the recessionary period. Our customers will be expected to act quickly and step up to this challenge and advise their clients through these turbulent times and help them come out of this downturn stronger than ever before.

If that isn’t enough, our customers have also been dealing with the entirely new challenge of how to effectively transition their work remotely. What are the right collaboration tools? What are now the best ways to stay up to date? How to balance this all with family needs, childcare and homeschooling.

Everyone’s job has changed and perhaps the only certain thing these days is that tomorrow will be different.

At Kira Systems, we empathize that these truly are uncertain and overwhelming times and are continually thinking about new ways in which we can help. We are fortunate to be financially healthy and in a position to support our customers during these times. To do so, we announced two new offers for the month of April to our current Kira customers, and for the wider legal community who are just getting started with us. Here are the details:

Existing Kira Customers Can “Double-Down” on their Document Limit for Free.

From our customers, we are hearing and seeing a greater demand for document review. In fact, customer cloud usage of Kira in March was the highest we’ve ever seen. In response to this, to ensure our customers can keep up with increasing contract review volumes, we are offering a one-time document limit allowance during the month of April where existing annual subscription customers have the opportunity to ‘double-down’ on their document limit up to the total document tier amount of their annual contract.

For example, if a customer has a 50,000 document tier limit on their existing annual contract, they will be eligible to consume additional free 50,000 documents in the month of April 2020.

With this document limit allowance, our existing customers can better meet the surge of demand they are experiencing and more efficiently manage their workload with increased speed and accuracy without worrying about exceeding their current document limits.

For New Customers to Kira, Attend a Free COVID-19 Impact Roundtable Session

On April 21st, for customers that are new to Kira, we are offering a free introductory COVID-19 Impact Roundtable session, virtually led by qualified practice consultants. In this session, attendees will learn how other legal, professional services firms and corporations have leveraged Kira to gain visibility to the critical information that exists within their contracts. These roundtables will have limited attendance in order to provide an optimal learning experience and allow for adequate Q&A and best practice-sharing amongst attendees.

COVID-19 Focused Research

We have also kicked off a specialized research series where we are using Kira to look at commonly needed use cases relevant to the COVID-19 response. This research aims to educate our customers, arm them with key insights and demonstrate how they can use Kira to find the answers they need to make quick and effective decisions during this time. We invite you to stay up to date with our COVID-19 related research and updates through our resource page, and please reach out if you have any questions.

Here at Kira Systems, we are continually looking for ways that we can help and will keep our customers informed. In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy and please reach out if we can be of any help.
